Natural Area Guardians
Scholarships Available!

The Whiteside County Natural Area Guardians, a subcommittee of the Whiteside County Soil and Water Conservation District, will offer two $500 scholarships to college sophomores or juniors who are currently enrolled in an institution of higher learning and plan to continue in a conservation/environmental field of study.  Please contact either the Whiteside County Soil and Water Conservation District at (815) 772-2124 ext. 3 or Carolyn Keller at (815) 626-4759 for application  information.

WHAT DOES THE SWCD DO?


Some things that the Whiteside County Soil and Water Conservation District does, is work with citizens on designing windbreaks, wildlife plans, waterways, tree plantings, wetland restorations, and urban conservation.
