General Info : There are 3 different color phases of the White-Lipped Python, formerly known as the D'Albertis python. Adults are considered bad tempered, but these snakes are so beautiful, that many hobbists and professional herpetoculturists cannot help but to work with them.
PYTHONS
Range & Habitat : Lowland rainforests and swamps in New Guinea and other Islands.
Appearance : A Python with an elongated body and narrow head. The body color is a golden coloror black and iridescent. The head is usually black but can sometimes be the same color as the body and has a row of white scales bordering the mouth.
Size : The White-Lipped Python may reach a length of 8 feet or more.
Breeding : White-Lipped Pythons will lay up to 18 eggs per clutch.
Feeding : White-Lipped Pythons will eat small mammals and birds.
