UL-Lafayette National Instruments Getting Started

LabVIEW is a graphical programming language that uses
icons and wires instead of function and variables. Unlike C++ which  uses  text based programming, LabVIEW  uses graphics which  is  more  intuitive.

LabVIEW is designed  to easy for the used of data  acquisition, since many graphs and  indicators   have  already  been  defined  for  you.Displaying  a   graph   or  gauge of  the  inputting  variable  is  as  easy  as connecting the wires to the graph or gauge icon.  Once you get experienced using LabVIEW, the possibilities are end less.

This website is designed for the user that is not familiar with LabView. The focus will be on getting started and navigation through LabView.  Once you are comfortable, each icon can be reference in the help menu and explained. The syntax of the language is more important than individual functions.  Instead of feeding the beginner, I would rather teach them how to fish.
