Alma Blanche Wevodau

Alma Blanche Wevodau, 83, of Monroe Township, died Friday, June 12, 1998, at Harrisburg Hospital.  Born January 16, 1915 in Kollertown, she was a daughter of the late Reed and Ada Elizabeth Hess Kilmore.  Mrs. Wevodau was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School.  She was retired from Shenandoah Floral, Mechanicsburg, and was a member and former Sunday School teacher at Grace United Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg.  Mrs. Wevodau was the widow of the late Herbert S. Wevodau.  She also was preceded in death by a son, Gary Wevodau.  Surviving are four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg, with the Rev. Dr. Timothy W. Weitkamp officiating.  There will be visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Chesnut Hill Cemetery, Upper Allen Township.  Memorial contributions may be made to her church, 216 S. Market St. Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, or the Gideon Memorial Bibles, P.O. Box 22, New Cumberland, PA 17070-0022.

Carl J. (Skip) Wevodau

(Skip) Carl J. Wevodau, 48, of Marysville, passed away Friday, March 25, 2005 at home.  He was a mechanist foreman for the Defense Supply Center of Richmond, and a Navy Veteran. He was a member of the D and K Hunting Club of Potter County.  Surviving are his wife, (Cat) Catherine R. Wevodau; a daughter, Alexis E. Wevodau of Enola; 3 step-daughters, Erin C. Grazier of Atlanta, Georgia, Sara G. Bush of Wellsboro, and Gina N. Bush of Springfield, Oregon; a step-son, Jeremy M. Shellenberger of Pensacola, Florida; 2 brothers, Charles (Chuck) Wevodau and wife, Elaine of Summerdale, and Leroy (Bud) Wevodau and wife, Robin of York Haven; his father and step-mother, Carl L. and Carrie Wevodau of Summerdale; mother and father-in-law, Paul and Joan Rexford of Gaines; 2 step-grandchildren, Evelyn and Molly Grazier of Atlanta, Georgia; a nephew, Jason Wevodau; and a niece, Melissa Wevodau, both of York Haven.  Memorial services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 4 p.m., in Summerdale United Methodist Church, 203 2nd Street, Summerdale. Visitation will be held from 3 - 4 p.m. Tuesday at the church.  The Richardson Funeral Home, Enola, is handling the arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Capital Region Division, Wormleysburg, PA 17043 r the American Red Cross of the Susquehanna Valley, 1804 N. 6th Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

Charles E. Wevodau Jr.

Charles E. Wevodau Jr., 78, of Harrisburg died Friday [26 November 1999] in the Blue Ridge Haven Convalescent Center East, Susquehanna Twp.  He retired as a custodian from the Central Dauphin School District; had been owner/operator of the former Charles Wevodau Fuel Oil Co.; was a former Little League and Teener baseball coach; and a member of Colonial Park United Methodist Church, its Stewards Sunday School Class and the Logan Gap Hunting Club.  Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth H. Walborn Wevodau; four sons, Larry J. of Mechanicsburg, Charles E. III of Paxtang, Bruce E. Sr. or Piketown and Jeff D. of Annville; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in his church.  Burial will be in Willow Grove Cemetery, Lingletown.  Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church.  Hoover Funeral Home and Crematory, Linglestown, is handling the arrangements.  Memorial donations may be made to his church, 430 Colonial Road, Harrisburg 17109.

Ethel F. Wevodau

Services for Ethel F. Wevodau, 81, of 321 Eighth St., New Cumberland, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 509 Hummel Ave., Lemoyne.  She died Friday, August 8, 1997, in Holy Spirit Hospital.  Born October 2, 1915 in Madison Township, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mae Smith Kesler and the widow of Walter David Wevodau.  Mrs. Wevodau was a retired sales person for the former Schleisner's store in Strawberry Square and had previously worked for Lady Jane Fashion apparel formerly of Harrisburg.  A graduate of Susquehanna High School, she was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lemoyne and its Mr. and Mrs. Sunday School Class; and the Lemoyne Senior Citizen Center.  Surviving are a son, W. David Wevodau of New Cumberland; a daughter Bonnie K. Welch of Camp Hill; and three grandsons.  The Rev. W. Stevens Shipman will officiate Monday's services.  Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin.  Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday in the church.  Parthemore Funeral Home Inc., New Cumberland, is handling the arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to her church or to the American Heart Association, Capital Region Division, 1019 Mumma Road, Suite 200, Wormleysburg, 17043.
