What I want is what I've got

chapter three

The international airport was very crowded with Westlife fans. Most of them were from Ireland and some were all the way from Europe or Asia. "They must have made it very big," I whispered to myself as I walked into the airport. Suddenly, I heard screams coming from in front of me and knew that they had arrived. Vanessa was screaming as wildly as the others were but all I cared about was Kian. I silently slipped out of the airport and decided to go down to Kian's place, hopefully to welcome him with a more personal touch.

When I arrived, I saw him walking slowly towards his house. "Kian? Is that you?" I asked sweetly. Kian turned around and then noticed me. "Hi Angie! Nice to see you again!" he said as he hugged me. "Would you like to go down to the park and play some ball?" I asked. Kian shrugged and replied, "No thanks. I'm not really interested in baseball now... now all I want to do is concentrate on my music... you know, I don't want Westlife to have a lousy double bass member..."

I was shocked but knew he would definitely go down to our favourite fast food outlet to grab a bite. He used to pester me to go there every lunchtime just for the burgers and fries there. "So how about going to our favourite lunch place?" I asked. Kian shook his head and replied, "No thanks Angie. The food there hurts my throat... and affects my singing..."

Now I was totally angry about the way he acted. "I just want to sleep at home," he added and then waved goodbye. This was outrageous! He turned into a different person altogether.
