We're worlds apart

chapter two

"Hey Sara" "Loud! Just walk no talking too early" Sara said with her eyes half shut. She decided to go with the 'I have just got out of bed' look. Jeans and a sweatshirt with her hair pulled back in a ponytail. "Sorry", Angel whispered.
"You owe me big time, I mean the next time I wanna get up at this ungodly hour I am taking you with me! Why? I don't know who is more mad, you for following them in the first place or me for coming with you?" Sara complained.
"I thought you said no talking"
"Bitch", Sara said with a look that could kill.
"You know I was kidding"
"Yeah yeah! Come on lets go" Sara said showing for the first time some interest in getting to the hotel.

"Is your dad not taking us?" Angel offered. "Well long story. He said yeah but then when the time came to getting up lets just say he didn't." Sara replied hugging herself to keep warm on this crisp Saturday morning. "Oh long story! Anyway we better rush or else we would miss them"
"It's..." Sara looks at her watch "8:05, surely not even they get up this early. 8:05 I am up at 8:05 on a Saturday! God"
"Come on we have to get there first!" Angel said and they picked up there pace. So they set out, got a bus then two trains and finally made it there by 9am By this time it had started to rain and Sara's bad mood showed no sign of lifting.

"I hate you I hate you I HATE you! I am going home!"
"Sara please", Angel said grabbing Sara's hand and leading them in the direction of the hotel. "It's raining I am cold. I am sane enough to know when to quit! Actually maybe not, after all I am here now! I've had enough" Sara turned round and went back in the direction they had just come. Minutes passed and she realised that Angel hadn't followed her. "Shit", Sara turned back and ran to catch up with her, "Now if you told me you weren't gonna follow I would have stayed with ya".
"I knew you would", Angel said with a smile.
"You bitch", with that Sara gave Angel a harmless push. They knew each other well enough not to take offence at what either of them said or did and they carried on down the street towards the hotel.

"See no other fans here, you are MAD and alone" Sara said shaking her head. "Maybe they have left already", Angel offered. "Well you had better hope they haven't cos you are gonna die if they have. So what do we do now?" Sara asked.
"Ummmmmmmm" Angel pondered. "You are a pro follower aren't ya? I am impressed" Sara laughed. "Stop it"
"Touchy I'll ask in the hotel, you coming in or what?" Sara said. "Yeah sure but I ain't asking" Angel said with a nervous smile. She had never met Westlife and dreamed for the day when they would know her name. "Fine," so they headed into the hotel.

The warm air comforted Sara as soon as she managed to tackle the revolving doors and she felt better. "Excuse me, oh hi ummm ... could you please tell me whether the band Westlife have left the hotel yet". Sara asked in her most polite voice as she could see that this was a classy hotel. "Hang on madam, I will check for you", the well-dressed desk clerk said picking up the receiver of a phone. "God this is a nice hotel ain't it Angel?" Sara turned to see that Angel was seating down on a seat, them standing up and seating down again but on another seat. This happened for four seats.
"Ummmmmmmm Angel, stop me if you think this is a really stupid question But WHAT THE FECK ARE YOU DOING?" Sara said in horror. "Well I don't know for sure which seat they have sat in"
"Who?"
"Westlife, so if I sit in all of them, I am sure that I will have sat on the same seat as at least one."
"Sad sad girl" and with that Sara turned around back to the desk clerk who had now disappeared.

"What's sad?" Sara looked to see who had said that and turned to find a medium height brown haired brown eyed man standing next to her, writing a check of something similar she couldn't see for sure. He was well dressed and looked like he had plenty of money to satisfy his expensive tastes. There was an over night bag by his side and a record bag on his shoulder.
"Oh what was that? Sorry I didn't see or hear you there!" Sara did hear what was said but was totally taken back the man actually being there. "What's sad?" He repeated in an Irish accent Sara noticed.
"Oh sorry, me mate she's a tad bit obsessed. She's really in to this pop band and it reflects in this mad behaviour." Sara said apologetically.
"Oh OK. Out of interest what band is she waiting for? I have been here for a couple of weeks I may have seen them around!" the man said. God that accent, Sara had fallen in love there and then. "Ummmmm WestSide, no sorry Westlife. Do you know them?"

"Yeah actually I do, they seem like great guys and they are really talented, especially that brown haired guy that singes lead vocals. How rude of me my name is Shane, Shane Filan and you?" Sara had heard that name before but she just couldn't figure out where. Sara had a confused look on her face, "What?" Shane asked. "Ummmmm it's just that I have heard ... no it's nothing. My name is Sara."
"Nice to meet you Sara" and with that Shane extended his arm and they shock hands. He had nice hands and a very cool ring, not the average style of a man that age.
"So do you not like Westlife then?" Shane asked with a smile that Sara thought seemed slightly sly. "It's not that I don't like them, it's just I don't personally feel that I would go to this much trouble just to see them, you know?"
"Yeah I know some fans are mad! So why are you here then?" No matter how much Sara thought, she couldn't remember where she had heard that name before. "Ummmmm me mate over there asked me to come", with that Shane and Sara looked over to see Angel still simultaneously trying to out every seat in the lobby. Shane laughed, "She looks like a cool person to have as a friend". Shane said still laughing.

"Ummmmmmm At this particular moment in time I don't think that cool is the word."
"Madam" the desk clerk said as he returned. "Oh hi" Sara said turning back round to face the clerk. "Sorry for the delay," he looked at Shane and then back to Sara. "To my knowledge Westlife have not checked out for the day".
"Thanks for your help. Is it OK if we sit here and wait for a while 'cos it's raining and everything".
"Well ... it's not allowed ..." The clerk began. "It's OK they are my guests" Shane said to the clerk. "OK then Mr Filan", again that name. The more Sara heard that name the more annoyed she got over the fact she couldn't remember where she had heard it before. "In that case madam you are welcome to enjoy the comforts of the sofa suites provided."

"Thanks Mr Filan" Sara said with a smile not sure whether she knew him enough to be on first name terms. Shane just smiled and said "Shane is fine by me"
"OK then thanks Shane", Sara said with a smile. She looked deep into his brown eyes and saw a warm and caring man, someone see wanted to get to know better. "OK Thanks again for your help Mr..." Sara looked at the clerk's nametag. "Thanks Mr Curtis". Shane and Sara walked towards Angel who was still sitting up and down on various seats, so busily she didn't even look up as they arrived. "Hey Angel!" Sara called. Angel was still trying her hardest to seat on every seat, up and down, up and down. "Nearly there Sara hang on". As Angel reached the last seat she collapsed into it and said "that's the last of 'em what did you find out..." Angel trailed off as she looked up and saw who Sara was standing next to.
"Angel this is Shane, Shane this is Angel. Please excuse the madness of my friend, she can't help it."
"It's fine I have seen worse." Shane said smiling.
"What?" Sara became suspicious but didn't want to say aloud her theory. "Erm.. What with so many bands staying at this hotel and everything".

Angel was frozen to the seat. Shane extended his hand in a friendly gesture and Angel excepted. She stared at him and then at her hand not fully believing that he he had actually touched her hand. "Hello how are ya?" Angel managed to say still unable to blink in amazement. "Fine thanks you?"
"Yeah, well now I am. Where are the other guys..."
"Anyway" Shane said interrupting Angel in mid sentence "I've got to leave soon". "OK thanks again for your help with everything". Sara said then turned towards the elevator as it opened and out stepped three tall blondes all dressed up smartly but all laughing loudly. As the saw Shane they ran to him and greeted him with a playfully rough hug. Sara looked at Angel and she looked more shocked then ever. "They are ... they are West..." Angel started. "Sorry this is Kian, Nicky and Bryan, mates of mine." Shane interrupted for the second time running.

"Hi, what are you guys dressed up for so early in the morning?" Sara asked. Kian went to answer, "we're doing CD:UK". Shane interrupted saying "Yeah we have tickets to see the show. You going?" Before Sara could respond Kian interrupted, "Shane, what have you taken, tickets what are you talking about" Kian looked at Shane as if he had lost it completely. "These girls have come to see Westlife"
"Ohhhhhhhh" they all said in unison. Sara thought surely it can't be maybe but she decided to leave it to spare any embarrassment in misidentifying them. Anyway she knew one thing about Westlife, that there were five members and not four. "What do you know them too?" Sara asked. "Yeah we've worked with them a couple of times," Bryan said with a smile looking at Shane.
Sara started to feel really comfortable, she felt like she was being patronised, but then was lost in Bryan's blue eyes, 'Wow' thought Sara. "Cool Angel, they've worked with Westlife", Sara said turning to Angel who was still in the exact same position as before.

"Anyway we have to go nice meeting you both, even you Angel" Shane said smiling. "OK see ya" Sara said wishing that Shane had at least given her his number. Sara watched them as they walked out the door to be greeted by a crowd of fans asking for autographs and pictures, as the cameras flashed something finally clicked. "Shit, they weren't ... shit they were! Noooooooooo! Ang please say no! Please say that they weren't Westlife please Angel please!" Sara begged. Angel, who had somehow switched back to planet earth, said "OK I'll tell you it weren't them, but I would be lying"
"Shit Shit" Sara looked outside to see that Shane was smiling at her. "Shit"
