"NOO! For the hundredth time, you are NOT coming with me!! Let Bryan give you a lift if you want to come!!" Kian was getting a bit irritated by the stubborn way she had been persuading him all day. "Come on Kian, what's gonna happen? I just want to ride along with you for once... There's not much time left y'know!" She really wanted to go along on the new bike, but Kian refused to let her. "We can do it some other time!!! YOU'RE NOT GOING!!!" "FINE!!" Esther turned round to let the dog in, leaving Kian to grumble at himself.

She went into the garden to get the laundry that had been drying on the washing line, when she felt two arms slipping round her waist. "Sorry Essie, but it's just too dangerous to come along without a helmet for you. I wouldn't want to see you get hurt or something, I would never forgive myself." Esther knew deep down he was right. It was dangerous, but waiting for another chance to ride along with Kian would be quite annoying.

"Can I come next time?" Kian thought for a while. "I'll tell you what, You come to the rehearsals with Bry now, and I'll take you on a ride when we get back. Then I'll take you along to a deserted road where there's no traffic and we'll ride there for a while. Okay??" She turned round at him. "DEAL!!!" He leaned in to kiss her. "Friends again??" "mmm yeah, okay..." She said, but her smile gave her away. Just as their lips touched, a voice from inside the house called. "KIAN, we gotta go mate, we're late, Ronan's gonna kill us!" Kian let out a huge sigh. "He does that everytime doesn't he? I wonder what he would say if you'd do the same with him and his Gina!" Esther laughed. "Well, go on, duty calls! I'll see you in about half an hour!" They walked back in. "I'll be counting the minutes!"

Inside, Nicky was already getting impatient. "Move it Kian! We're late!" Kian however didn't bother to hurry up. "Chill, you said that already!" Nicky looked up to the ceiling. "You know Esther, I just can't understand how you can keep up with this guy." She went up to Nicky and whispered the answer in his ear. "With a lot of difficulties and a little love!" Nicky cracked up in laughter. "Hey, what did you say? Why is he laughing?" "Nothing Ki, just a joke I told him!"

She stepped outside with the boys and watched amused how they both got on their bikes, Nicky on his brand new Harley, and Kian on the one she had bought him. She gave Kian a hug. "Please be careful okay? Don't start showing off!" He looked down on her from the bike. "Don't worry, I will be."

She was already stepping away from him to give him the chance to start his bike, when he suddenly grabbed her arm and turned her round. Before she could say or do anything he pushed his lips on hers and kissed her, more intense than ever. Esther began to feel weak in her knees. Even after all this time she still wasn't used to the feeling. She put her arms round his neck and kissed him back as sweet as she could.

"See you in half an hour my Kiany!" He looked in her eyes and saw tears in them. "Don't cry!" he whispered "It's only for half an hour!" She smiled at him. "It's not that, I was just thinking how lucky I am to have you!" He gave her a short kiss. "I really love you girl, always will!" Then he pulled out on the driveway and followed Nicky. Esther looked at him until he was gone, and then went back inside to get ready...
