'Will I see you again?'

'Yes, Karen.' Bryan answered the girl. Westlife were about to leave. They said goodbye to the children and the girls.

Shane had a last glance at Melody. It would not be easy to see her again, he knew. Because she was not a fan.

Bryan suddenly thought of something.

'Hey it's quite late now. How about we take you for a ride home?'

'But what about the children?' Melody asked.

'A van is provided for them.' Mark stated.

'Thank you then.' Karen said taking Melody's hand and turned to tell Melody, 'don't run away!'

'Ew…Please don't say no...' Kian looked at Melody.

'I don't think I can.' Melody said looking around.

Within no time, they all found themselves on the cars of the Westlife members. Everybody pushed Melody to get on Shane's car. Shane was glad that they finally could have a conversation.

'Hey.'

'Hi Shane.'

'What you feel tonight?'

'It's wonderful.'

'No cheating...You didn't seem to eat anything.'

'I did!'

'You did after I had told you to.'

Melody couldn't say a word then.

'Please tell me what's wrong, if you think I'm your friend.'

Melody gazed at Shane, she thought for a while.

'It's all about my boyfriend Alexander.'

Shane tried his best to calm himself down, 'huh?'

'I don't know whether he wants to end this relationship. I couldn't contact him for almost a month…I don't know, just like he's dead.' Melody said quietly. Obviously she didn't want to continue this topic. Shane looked at her, and she looked at Shane. None of them could talk at that moment.

'I'm here arrived.' Melody said and got off the car. 'Anyway, thanks for being my friend...' She then went back to her house.

'Wait!!' Shane shouted as Melody was about to shut the door.

'What's the matter?'

'I can be your friend, yes, real one. Anytime you want...'

'Really?' Melody was surprised.

Shane nodded.

'That's great. I'd never thought of that.'

'Can I?'

'Sure!' Melody smiled and Shane hugged her. He didn't want to let go of her. Melody pulled Shane lightly.

'I have to go.'

'Bye.' Shane waved.

Melody shut the door. She felt warmth coming from her heart. She had never thought that a pop star could be so considerate. She was not sure that she had a little crush on Shane.

'Friends...' was everything in Shane's mind.
