flying without wings

chapter nine

'Bry mate, come look here.' Nicky was standing in front of the door, peeking through a small window. 'Look at Mark. I seriously have never seen Mark like that. Shane! Come here. You went to school with Mark so you more or less know what he's like. Look at him.'

Shane came over with Bryan and peeked through the small window. 'Whoa! What's with Mark?' 'Exactly!' Nicky replied, proud at his own analysis. 'Could it be that he's..' Bry tried to suggest something then held it back. 'Nahhh, it's too fast.' Shane sounded as if he knew what Bry was about to say.

Foot steps were at the aisle. 'What's up lads?' 'Hey Ki!' Shane replied. Kian shot up straight to the small window. He didn't want to miss a thing. 'Is that Mark lads?' Ki was trying to convince himself. 'Yeah.' The lads replied.

'Is he in love with that girl or sumthing? How long has he been there for?' Ki said it straight to the point. 'Ages Ki. Ages. We've been waiting here and he hasn't come out yet. We've had our lunches and teas and coffees and Mark still hadn't move. Right lads?' 'Yeah' Shane and Nicky replied in unison.

Then Bry explained how did he get to know Emily and all but he cleverly hid out the fact that Emily was a drug addict. He even told the doctor that he was Emily's step brother because the doctor wouldn't tell anyone else but her family. He felt there was something really wrong and he wanted to help her badly.

He had a dream the night before that he met this beautiful lady and she pleaded him to help a girl that he'd met on Grafton Street. Her name sounded something like Emily. When Emily introduced herself on Grafton Street this late morning, it was as if a lightning strucked him. He thought his dream was probably because he ate cheese at dinner but so far it has all came true. But it was still a mystery to Bry who was that lady.
