Wow. It's been almost a year since the Sparks site has been updated. Nathie and Warren are recording some new songs, finally. You may not believe me, but it's halfway done. We got lost in the woods, nearly eaten by wolves. We're wandering into a clearing, and things are starting to happen again.

It's never over. xoxo Warren Mills ...

Hello. It's Warren Mills again. Like I said, things don't look too good for the future of the Sparks right now. At the very, very least, there will be one more EP this summer ... "Just Like the Bad Old Days" and "1983" simply must be put to tape! Keep your ear open for us, we should have that done by mid-summer. Live shows will probably be out of the question for now, though technically we are booked for a mainstage show at the Door on Saturday night, June 7th. (!!!) We don't know exactly what to do about this, as we're in no working order to play shows right now. That show was booked with Paddington, another great Dallas band that you should check out. I don't know there web address, but if I did, I would give it to you. In the mean time, go check out Sock'em and the Cruisers, Captain Clyde, The Southern Sea, and our old pals in Bangarang. These are some of the hippest bands in Texas, so you can all be the first to say you've heard them. Bangarang just finished their EP, and it's really wonderful. In the mean time, keep hitting the Sparks page in hopes that we'll hit you with our new recordings by ... maybe July? Hopefully this won't be the end of the Sparks, but if it is, we'll also keep you posted on all of our members' new projects and musical ventures in the future. Thanks to all of you who have been so wonderful to us. We'll see you real soon.

Well, you probably won't hear much from the Sparks in the near future ... things are kinda up in the air right now. Thanks to everyone who came out for our second Galaxy Club show! Stay tuned for more info about the band.

Everyone still needs to go and check out the dot com domain here. I can't really help Chris with it since I don't know flash, so I'm going to continue to keep this old page pumpin', hopefully as a nice little forum for Sparks art and random writing and whatnot. The show at the Galaxy Club on February 26 is still pending for April, and we still need everyone to email Josh on the Adventure Club (102.1 KDGE) and tell him to play Western Sparks. Ideas for a new Western Sparks EP (which will probably include "1983" and "Just Like the Bad Old Days") are also being tossed around. We'll keep ya posted.

The dot com domain is up and running, so go see it. This one is pretty much all Chris, who is probably employee of the month over here in Sparksland. The show at the Galaxy Club on February 26 was resheduled due to some truly absurd and unlikely texas weather. We will probably be back there in early April. New plans are being made for the recording of a Sparks Ep, and we still need everyone to email Josh on the Adventure Club (102.1 KDGE) and tell him to play Western Sparks. Everybody keep it real, please.
