WESTERLY BAND
established 1852

The Oldest Continuously Active Civic Band in the U.S.
In its 150th year, the Westerly Band continues to provide southern New England with a variety of popular, classical, and ethnic music and, of course, marches. Being both a concert  wind ensemble and a marching band, the Westerly Band plays more than 20 "gigs"  a year, and with its library of over 1000 pieces, it provides a different program for every performance. The band rehearses at the Armory in Westerly, Rhode Island, on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30  p.m. You're welcome to stop by and listen. Or, better yet, grab your instrument, join the Westerly Band, and have fun making music!
