Welcome

We Love you and Miss you Daddy

If you are lucky enough to still have your daddy with you, when was the last time you hugged him or called him just to say hi? I wish I could hug my daddy right now. Don't wait till its too late.

Welcome everyone to a page especially dedicated to my dad. He was called to heaven January 22, 1999. I made the graphics especially for his page so please do not steal them. I have also added some new pics of him. So I hope that you enjoy getting to know my Dad. Thank you.

Dad in Korea Another picture of Dad in Korea

Dad had a massive heart attack on Thursday January 21, 1999 and we lost him the following afternoon. I know that Dad knew a lot of people but it wasn't until his funeral that I realized how loved and respected my dad was. He always put other peoples needs before his own. My dad is a Vietnam Veteran and was always supporting the POW/MIA cause. He was a strong fighter for all of our American Veterans, past and present. We are just so proud of him and all that he accomplished in his life. Dad served in the Army for 11 years, he served a tour in Vietnam(before I was born), he was stationed in Korea, Colorado and finally here at Ft. Campbell, Ky where we've lived since I was 5 years old. After my dad got out of the Army he became a truck driver. I remember going with my dad during the summer. I will never forget the first time I went with my dad and he handed me the map and taught me how to read it. I remember when we got back we ate at one of his favorite resturants and he was telling everyone about our trip and how proud he was of me helping him read the map and keeping him awake. Those were really great summers for me and I will never forget them.

Dad and Mom in 1974 Blooming Rose Church Directory pic

The first picture is of mom and dad when they first got here in 1974 and the other picture is of my mom and dad in 86 for the church directory. At the time my dad work for the Correctional Institute. I remember dad talking about the first date and how after being with mom for 20 minutes he had asked her to marry him. I think thats pretty amazing.

Dad clowning around
at a luau Dad singing at a Crawford Family Reunion

Here's dad being silly at one of the many luaus we went to. Dad was always clowning around and making people laugh. The second picture is of Dad at the Crawford Family reunion in 93. He had got a local band here in Clarksville to come up to the reunion and when they started singing Dad couldn't resist, he just had to go and sing along with them.

Graduation 90 me and Dady Family Picture

These pictures were taken when I graduated from High School in 1990. I've never seen my dad cry so I treasure the picture of me and Daddy where he is crying. That has been the only time I have ever seen him cry. Thank you Aunty Pua for taking these pictures at my graduation.

This picture was taken at the Crawford Family Reunion in July of 97. This was the last family picture taken of us with Dad.

Dad and James and their BIG catch of the day

This picture was taken in April 98 on one of our many fishing trips. I just couldn't resist taking this picture of my dad and James with their big catch. One of dad's most favorite things to do was to go fishing, well besides going to his favorite coffee shop.

Dad and Trystan at the RT cookout Dad and Trystan in the hospital

These are pictures of my dad and Trystan. The picture on the left was taken right before Trystan's surgery at a Rolling Thunder cook out and the other picture was taken right before they took Trystan in for surgery. My dad loves my son so much and I know that when my son had to have open heart surgery that it really hurt my dad seeing him like that. Dad was there for me when Trystan came into this world. Dad drove me to the hospital because James had left for PLDC(30 minutes before my water broke). I can remember seeing the big grin on my dad's face when my friend Jen went out to tell him he has a grandson. Dad was the first and only person to wear the "It's A Boy" button they gave at the hospital so I thought that it was only right for him to wear it forever. Trystan loves you Daddy.

Dad with one of the baseball teams he couched Dad with his
adopted granddaughter Samantha

Here Dad is with one of the baseball teams he coached. Dad was always involved in our activites. The second picture was taken in March 98 when my friend Leslie and her family left here to move to Washington State. Dad and Mom fell in love with Leslie's daughter Samantha and had made her their granddaughter(adopted - not leagally of course).
