I am a librarian in search of a library. I got my Masters of Library Science Degree in June 2002, and have been looking for a good job in the field since then. I also write poetry and will occaisionally change the content of the site. For now, the poem I am posting was published in 1998 in the Western Oregon University publication Nuwanda's Trip. I hope you enjoy!

Adoration from afar
Courage is far away too
Scams and plans
contrived to look natural
Do you guess?
Please, please do!
Make the first move
so I don't need to.
Memories of other chances lost
from moving too slow...
Watching others happy with
the someone you wanted
Do your feelings grow?
Are you shy too...?
Both of us standing still
scared to take that step
Frozen in our fear of the unknown
Fear of rejection
Fear of lonliness
Sometimes it is safer to yearn
and watch from afar
Then the loss won't hurt... I hope
