.......... I have been a long time fan of Dale Earnhardt. Way before it was the popular thing to do. I was pulling for Dale when he was earning points for the rookie of the year title. It is so great to see Dale fans out numbering all the other driver's fans put together when you go to see a race, but it wasn't always that way. I have always admired Dale even back in the days when he wasn't quite so popular. Back when he was highly criticized for his aggressive driving techniques. Dale is a hard core race car driver with a desire to win. That desire is still as strong today as it ever was. If you call that kind of driving aggressive, then I guess I call it just racing.
.......... It is very unfortunate that Dale lost his life Feb. 18, 2001 in the last turn of the last lap of the Daytona 500. Instead of aggressively pursuing the lead, he was uncharacteristically protecting the positions of the two cars ahead of him. Those cars were being driven by Michael Waltrip who won the race and Dale Jr. who came in second. He died a proud man knowing his two cars were going to beat all the others. I will miss him and that famous black Goodwrench Chevrolet more that I ever expected. I will always be a fan of NASCAR and Winston Cup, but it will never be the same without Dale and his black number 3.
.......... It is my intention to keep this dedication to Dale Earnhardt as simple as possible. What that means is that I am going to keep this HP free from mega amounts of stuff being downloaded all at once. You know all those buzzers and bells everyone else puts on their pages. Thus keeping the loading of each link as quickly as possible. This way you can browse this HP as quickly or leisurely as you want.
