There was large-scale temperature drop during the last 6 days of
this year. Compared with the average temperature of last week, temperature
dropped for over 10 degrees. On the day after the Christmas Day, it
was mild, cloudy at first but became fine during the day. A cold front
formed over inland Guangdong on Monday morning. It crossed the south
China coastal areas that evening. It was fine but hazy during the day
that day over this district. Evening began with cooler weather. A
winter monsoon associated with the cold front brought cloudy weather
and significant temperature drop for the next day. Air temperature
dropped to around 10 degrees on Tuesday night and it was cold. The cold
spell persisted and on Wednesday and Thursday, although it was find
and dry, but it continued to be cold with morning and overnight temperatures
between 9 amd 10 degrees. Thursday night, the winter monsoon further
strengthened with gusty northerly winds. Temperature was progressively
suppressed and 7.6 degrees was recorded in the district that night, that
was the lowest in this winter. On the other hand, it was very dry and
relative humidity dropped to 30 per cent or below that night.

燥，但天氣持續寒冷，早晚氣溫得9至10度。星期四晚上，冬季季候風進一步增
強，北風強勁，氣溫於星期五早晚進一步被推低；當晚本區錄得最低氣溫7.6度
，是入冬以來最低記錄。另外，天氣非常乾燥，當晚濕度下跌至百分之30或以
下。
