Apart from cloudy periods during the day on Friday, it was mainly fine and
dry throughout this week. Early this week and during mid-week, as affected by
a dry northeast monsoon, it was fine with plenty of sunshine over the district,
but dry to very dry during the day. Relative humidity maintained below 40 per
cent then. On Friday, it was fine at first but became cloudy and remained dry
during the day owing to the outermost cloud band of Severe Tropical Storm
Nanmadol. Cloud thinned out at night. An intense northeast monsoon brought
generally fine and dry weather to the district during the weekend. On the other
hand, Typhoon Nanmadol over the Western Pacific crossed Luzon at a high speed
and when entering the northeastern part of the South China Sea, it weakened into
a Severe Tropical Storm. It moved towards the vincinity of Dongsha and turned
to the northeast. It crossed Taiwan on Saturday morning and changed to be an
extratropical low that afternoon.

中期，受乾燥的東北季候風影響，本區
陽光充沛，日間天氣乾燥至非常乾燥，
相對濕度維持在百分之40以下。星期五
，初時天晴，日間受強烈熱帶風暴南瑪
都的外圍雲帶影響，轉為多雲，但仍然
乾燥，晚上雲層轉薄。一股強烈東北季
候風於週末為本區帶來普遍晴朗及乾燥
的天氣。另一方面，西太平洋的颱風南
瑪都，以高速橫過呂宋後，於進入南海
東北部時，減弱為強烈熱帶風暴；於東
沙附近轉東北方向移動，在週末早上橫
過台灣，並於下午轉變為一溫帶低氣壓
。
