While we were celebrating the Chinese New Year, it was cold in
this district as affected by a winter monsoon throughout this week.
Air temperature gradually fell from the maximum of 18.1 degrees
Celsius recorded during the day on Sunday to 7.8 degrees Celsius
on Wednesday morning. It was the coldest day so far this winter.
Meanwhile, a broad rainband covered the areas of Guangdong. There
were occasional light to moderate rain in the district early this week.
It was also cloudy to overcast. During the Chinese New Year's Eve and
the Chinese New Year's Day (Wednesday and Thursday), it became fine and
dry, cold in the morning. On Friday evening, a replenishment of cold
air arrived and brought some drizzle. Northerly winds were
temporarily strengthened that night. Over the weekend, it was fine
and cold in the morning and at night. It was very dry during the day.
農曆新年前後的整個星期，都是受到冬季
季候風影響，本區天氣寒冷；由星期日日
間最高的18.1攝氏度，逐步下降至星期三
早上的7.8攝氏度，是入冬以來最凍的一
天；與此同時，一個廣闊雨帶影響廣東地
區，本區於本星期初間中有小至中雨，且
多雲至密雲。年三十及年初一（星期三及
四）天氣轉晴及乾燥，早上天氣寒冷。年
初二傍晚時分，另一股冷空氣抵達，當時
有幾陣毛毛雨，當晚北風短暫增強。週末
期間，天晴及早晚寒冷，日間天氣非常乾
燥。
