On Sunday, as affected by a broad trough of low pressure, it was
cloudy in the district, and there was light to moderate rain in the
morning and early in the afternoon. It became fine on Monday morning.
However, the outermost sinking airstream of Typhoon Aere to the
northeast of Taiwan brought unsettled weather to the district,
starting from Monday afternoon till Thursday, when it was hot, hazy
and cloudy with sunny periods. There were also showers in that periods
except Wednesday when it was very hot with air temperature once rising
to near 34 degrees Celsius in the afternoon. Aere crossed the sea to
the north of Taiwan and landed Xiamen on Thursday morning. After that,
it moved towards the eastern Guangdong along the coastal line of the
southeastern China. Finally, it weakened into an area of low pressure
while it was located over 100 kilometres to the north of Hong Kong.
Affected by its remnant rainbands, it was cloudy to overcast with rain
on Friday and Saturday, and there were heavy squally showers too. On
Saturday night, weather was further deteriorated and rain was more
persistent.
星期日，受一道廣闊低壓槽影響，本區
多雲，早上及下午初段時間有小至中雨
。星期一早上轉為天晴，但受位於台灣
東北部附近的颱風艾利外圍下沉氣流影
響，下午起至星期四天氣變得不穩定，
天氣炎熱，多雲，部分時間有陽光及有
煙霞；該幾天當中，除了星期三外，每
天都有驟雨；另外，星期三下午天氣酷
熱，氣溫曾上升至接近34攝氏度。艾利
橫過台灣以北海域並於星期四早上在廈
門登陸，其後，沿中國東南海岸趨向廣
東東部，最後於香港以北一百多公里處
減弱為一個低壓區。受其殘餘雨帶影響
，本區於星期五及六天陰有雨，間中有
狂風大驟雨；星期六晚間天氣進一步轉
差，雨勢持續。
