As observed from Tsing Yi (North) seashore on Saturday afternoon, the sky over Tsuen Wan was covered by thick black clouds.

It was rather hot this week. A ridge of high pressure brought fine and hot to very hot weather to this district early this week. Typhoon Mindulle started to edge closer to the Luzon Strait on Tuesday and crossed the northeastern Taiwan on Friday. As affected by the outermost sinking air of Mindulle, it was hazy and rather hot on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday afternoon, air temperature rose to 34.8 degrees Celsius, the highest of this year. On the other hand, there were heavy showers on Wednesday afternoon. Very hot weather persisted till Saturday when an active southwest monsoon settled in. It became cloudy with showers then.

今個星期天氣相當酷熱。一道高壓脊於
本週初期為本區帶來晴朗及炎熱至酷熱
的天氣。颱風蒲公英於星期二開始靠近
呂宋海峽，並於星期五橫過台灣東北部
。受蒲公英外圍下沉氣流影響，星期二
及三有煙霞，且相當酷熱，星期二下午
氣溫上升至本年最高紀錄的34.8攝氏度
。另外，星期三下午，本區有大驟雨。
酷熱天氣持續至星期六才得以舒緩；由
於受一股活躍西南季候風影響，星期六
本區轉為多雲及有驟雨。
