Officer Debra Cyr became a police officer with the Webster Police Department in Harris County, Texas in 1997. In early 2000 Officer Cyr became a K-9 handler and was paired with her partner K-9 Athos. K-9 Athos, a German Shepherd, is a dual purpose K-9, certified in both narcotic and patrol. K-9 Athos holds certifications through the USPCA and NNDDA. In 2004 USPCA Certification trials Officer Cyr and Athos won 3rd place in Obedience, 1st place in agility course, 1st place in suspect box search, 2nd place in team patrol, 1st place patrol overall, Top Dog in Patrol and Top Dog for Patrol and Narcotic Combined. Currently Officer Cyr is assigned to the night shift with Athos.
