A Marriageable Young Girl
Marie Parenteau
(1643-1705)
Marie Parentou was born on January 01, 1643, at St Nicolas de La Rochelle, Aunis, France; the daughter of Antoine Parenteau and Anne Brisson.  She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Robert Gagnon.  They were married October 03, 1657 in Ville De Quebec.

Robert was born on March 01, 1628 at Ste Madeleine La Ventrouze, Mortagne, Perche France; the son of Jean Gagnon and Marie Geffroy.  He and Marie would have eleven children before his death on September 01, 1703 at Ste-Famille.  Marie followed on November 16, 1705.
The Next Generation
Jean Gagnon - Was born on February 16, 1659 in Ste-Famille and died on February 17, 1742 in Kamouraska.  He married Jeanne Loignon and the couple had six children.

Elisabeth Gagnon - Was born on September 29, 1661 and died on March 01, 1703 in Ste-Famille.  She was married twice:  Louis Moreau - at least one child.  Jean Baril - eight children.

Claude Gagnon - Was born on April 05, 1664 and died the following year in Ste-Famille.

Jacques Gagnon - Was born in 1666 at Ste-Famille and died on January 25, 1753 in Kamouraska.  He married Madeleine Rocheron and the couple had at least five children.

Marie Gagnon - Was born on July 07, 1668 and died unknown in Ste-Famille.

Jean-Francois Gagnon - Was born on August 21, 1670 and died on January 04, 1688 in Ste-Famille.

Pierre Gagnon - Was born on January 30, 1673 and died on February 09, 1703 in Ste-Famille.  He  married Louise Letourneau.

Anne Gagnon - Was born on May 14, 1675 and died unknown in Ste-Famille.  She was married twice:  Joseph Charland - one child.  Hippolyte Guiberge Thibierge - no known children.

Renee Gagnon - Was born on February 27, 1678 in Ste-Famille and died on February 14, 1703 in Boucherville.

Joseph Gagnon - Was born on September 15, 1680 in Ste-Famille and died unknown in Ville De Quebec.  He married Anne Loineau.

Genevieve Gagnon - Was born on November 04, 1681 and died on December 19, 1749 in Ste-Famille.
