Marie Giraud
(1640-1713)
Marie Giraud was born about 1640, at La Tremblade, Rochefort, Charente-Maritime, Aunis, France.  She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Abel Turcotte.  They were married November 27, 1662 in Chateau-Richer.

Abel was born in 1631 at Mouilleron-en-Pareds, Fontenay-le-Comte, Maillezai, Poitou, France.  He and Marie would have eight children before his death on September 16, 1687 at Ste-Famille.  Marie followed on February 23, 1713.
The Next Generation
Francois Turcotte - Was born on September 16, 1663 in Chateau-Richer and died on January 17, 1718 in Ste-Famille.  He married Marie Ouimet and the couple had at least three children.

Marie Turcotte - Was born on December 12, 1664 in Chateau-Richer and died on April 15, 1701 in St. Jean Ile-De-Orleans.  She married Noel-Joseph Charland; son of Claude Charland and Jacqueline Borde, and the couple had four children.

Genevieve Turcotte - Was born in 1666 in Chateau-Richer and died on December 07, 1724 in Boucherville.  She married Antoine Bilodeau and the couple had ten children.

Francoise Turcotte - Was born on April 16, 1668 and died unknown in Ste-Famille.

Anne Turcotte - Was born on March 16, 1670 in Ste-Famille and died on January 22, 1716 in St. Francois, Ile De Orleans.  She married Simon Bilodeau and the couple had four children.

Renee Turcotte - Was born on April 29, 1672 and died unknown in Ste-Famille.

Marie-Madeleine Turcotte - Was born on March 04, 1676 and died unknown in Ste-Famille.

Louis Turcotte - Was born on August 17, 1678 and died unknown in Ste-Famille.  He married Marie-Marguerite Lepage and the couple had five children.  He later married Angelique Plante.
