A Marriageable Young Girl
Marie Bonin
(1638-1708)
Marie Bonin was born about 1638 in the Parish of St-Sauveur, La Rochelle, Aunis, France;  and  arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Pierre Chalut.  They were married February 13, 1657 in Ville De Quebec.

Pierre was born about 1630, also in La Rochelle.  He and Marie would have ten children before his death in 1675.  She married Charles Lapointe on October 25, 1677, but the couple had no children.  Marie Bonin died on December 02, 1708 in Ville De Quebec.
The Next Generation
Jeanne Chalut - Was born on October 18, 1657 in Ville De Quebec and died on October 30, 1735 in St. Bernard, Charlesbourg, Champlain, Quebec.  She was married three times:  Nicolas Heve (1 child), Joachim Girard (3 children) and Guillaume Valade.

Catherine Chalut - Was born on February 02, 1659 in Ville De Quebec and died unknown on L'Islet.  She married Louis Befureau and the couple had at least three children.

Mathieu Chalut - Was born on February 27, 1661 and died on April 27, 1661 in Ville De Quebec.

Anne Chalut - Was born on March 05, 1663 and died before 1681 in Ville De Quebec.

Maurice Chalut - Was born on June 25, 1664 and died in 1666 in Ville De Quebec.

Marie Chalut - Was born on February 27, 1667 and died on September 14, 1685 in Ville De Quebec.

Etienne Chalut - Was born on May 10, 1670 and died before 1681 in Ville De Quebec.

Jean-Francois Chalut - Was born on March 10, 1672 and died about a week later on March 18 in Ville De Quebec.

Helene Chalut - Was born on May 22, 1673 and died a few weeks later on June 12, in Ville De Quebec.

Jacques Chalut - Was born on March 06, 1675 and died on March 26, 1676 in Ville De Quebec.
