A Marriageable Young Girl
Marie-Madeleine Drouillard
(1636-1719)
Marie-Madeleine Drouillard was born about 1636 in Villemorin, Aulnay, St-Jean-d'Angely, Saintes, Saintonge, France; the daughter of Jacques Drouillard and Jeanne Planchard.  She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Pierre Montplaiser Dizy.  They were married July 13, 1659 at Trois-Rivieres.

Pierre was born on June 21, 1634 in St-Maclou, Rouen, Normandy, France; the son of Charles Dizy and Madeleine Lamotte.  He and Marie-Madeleine would have seven children.  Pierre died on June 12, 1698 in Batiscan and Marie followed on February 15, 1719.
The Next Generation
Michel-Ignace Dizy - Was born on August 16, 1661 and died on February 13, 1723 in Batiscan.  He became the Judge at Trois-Rivieres and married Marie-Jeanne Beaudoin.  They had twelve children.

Marguerite Dizy - Was born on February 11, 1663 and died on October 22, 1730 in Batiscan.  She married
Jean-Francois Desbroyeaux and the couple had at least one child.

Charles Dizy - Was born on December 23, 1664 and died on September 04, 1691 in Trois-Rivieres.

Joseph Dizy - Was born in 1667 and died on February 23, 1687 in Trois-Rivieres.

Anne-Celeste Dizy
- Was born in 1669 and died on May 16, 1718 in Batiscan.  She married Francois Aubuchon.

Elisabeth Dizy
- Was born in 1672 in Trois-Rivieres and died on February 06, 1703 in Montreal.  She married Jean-Francois Chevalier.

Pierre-Francois Dizy - Was born in 1672 and died on March 14, 1761 in Batiscan.  He married Madeleine Beaudoin and the couple had at least two children.
