Francois was born about 1630 in Ville de Monfort-en-Chalosse, Gascogne, Gascogne; the son of Jean Gariepy and Jeanne Aragon. He and Marie-Jenne would have thirteen children. Francois died on April 25, 1705 in Chateau-Richer and Jeanne followed on January 16, 1713.
