A Marriageable Young Girl
Jeanne-Angelique Briere
(1640-1711)
Jeanne-Angelique Briere was born about 1640 in the Parish of St-Saveur, Paris, Ile de France, France; the daughter of Adrien Briere and Marguerite La Varenne.  She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Adrien Sedilot  They were married September 22, 1661 at Ville De Quebec.

Jeanne-Angelique was already widowed from Andre Longtin, with whom she had a son Jerome.  He accompanied her to New France where he was married to Marie-Catherine Gouard St. Marie.  They had ten children before her death on June 09, 1703.  Jerome died on June 13, 1723.

Jeanne's new husband was a carpenter,  born on December 18, 1639 in Quebec; the son of Louis Sedilot and
Marie-Marguerite Grimoult    Jeanne-Angelique died on June 11, 1711, and Adrien on March 01, 1715.  They do not appear to have had any children.
