A Marriageable Young Girl
Gabrielle Barre
(1639-1688)
Gabrielle Barr  was born about 1639, at St. Nicolas de La Rochelle, Aunis, France; the daughter of Jacques Barr and Judith Marie Forget.  She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Jacques Labreque.  They were married on November 11, 1658, but for whatever reason the marriage was anulled.

She instead married Guillaume Landry on October 14, 1659 at Ville De Quebec, and the couple had three children.  Guillaume was born on February 23, 1623  at La Ventrouze, Tourouvre, Mortagne, Perche, France; the son of Mathurin Landry and Damiane Desavis.  Gabrielle died on July 04, 1688 at Ste. Famille, Ile d'Orleans, Quebec and Guillaume soon after on January 08, 1689
The Next Generation
Marie-Marguerite Landry - Was born about 1660 at Ste. Famille and died in 1725 at Berthier-en-Bas, Montmagny, Quebec.  She married Prisque Charbonneau and the couple had four children.

Claude Landry - Was born on July 20, 1662 at Chateau Richer and died on September 19, 1748 in the Parish of St. Francois, Ile d'Orleans, Quebec.  He married Angelique Verieul and the couple had three children.

Barthelemy Landry
- Was born on April 12, 1666 and died on October 13, 1688 at Chateau Richer.
