Catherine Mathieu
(1630-1697)
Catherine Mathieu was born about 1630, at Chalon-Sur-Marne, Champagne, France; the daughter of Claude Mathieu and Helene Charpentier.  She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Francois Treffle.  They were married February 24, 1659 at Ville De Quebec.

Francois was a carpenter, born on May 01, 1628 at St-Barthelemi-De-Routot, Normandy, France; the son of Nicolas Treffle and Francoise Pichon.  He and Catherine would have eight children before her death on April 03, 1697.  Francois followed on July 24, 1705.

Jacques Treffle - Was born on April 30, 1662 and died unknown at Ville De Quebec.

Catherine Treffle - Was born on August 22, 1664 and died unknown at Ville De Quebec.  She married Nicolas Bailly.

Francois Treffle - Was born on November 15, 1666 at Ville De Quebec and died January 19, 1703 at Hotel Dieu.  He married Genevieve Normand and the couple had six children.

Helene-Leonarde Treffle - Was born on April 26, 1669 and died unknown in Ville De Quebec.  She married Gabriel Duprat.

Marie-Madeleine Treffle - Was born on April 19, 1671 and died unknown in Ville De Quebec.  She married Joseph Normand and the couple had at least two children.

Pierre Treffle - Was born in 1673 and died unknown in Ville De Quebec.  He married Marie-Elisabeth Gauthier and the couple had at least one child.

Jean Treffle - Was born on March 13, 1676 and died unknown in Ville De Quebec.

Marie-Anne Treffle - Was born on January 20, 1679 and died unknown in Ville De Quebec.
