Howard Surname Locations Databases

The Howard Locations Databases contain information from Census Records, Marriage Records, Family Trees, Internet Files, Land Records and Etc. These Databases are the work by yours truly over the last 1 ½ years to compile as much information on the Surname Howard in North America that I could find and then place it on the Internet as a research tool for anyone doing research on the Howard Surname. The Databases are very large and a fast Internet connection would be the preferred way to view them. May I suggest if viewing these files for the first time that you go to States and Counties page first.

The information contained in the Howard Locations Databases is broken down into columns with some of their meanings as follows:

·        CO # (County Number) is the number assigned as data was discovered. Earliest to Latest. See States and Counties Database for further information.

·        ST & Div (State and Division) some States were broken into Divisions such as Tennessee while others such as Virginia was Divide into several States, Virginia, Kentucky and West Virginia. With Kentucky, I divided it into 4 Divisions as the first counties broken off from Virginia which became Kentucky. They are KY-J (Jefferson County) KY-F (Fayette County) and KY-L (Lincoln County) which I further broke down and coming up with KY-LE (E = East) and KY-LW (W = West). There are several sites on the Internet that will show you how most early states were founded and what states came from them.

·        INPUT Year is the year for the information on that line.

·        CO Name (County Name)

·        Family Ref # (Family Reference Number) is the number assigned for that Family & their Descendants as information was found, earliest to latest. My Family Tree is number #0001 and that number recognizes the descendants of John & Margaret (Clarke) Howard through out the databases.

·        Descendant Ref # (Descendant Reference Number) A1- number equals the first head of that family; A2-number equals the first spouse of that family. The first descendant of that family would be AA number (1=Male 2=Female) and so on.

·        First Name

·        Middle Name

·        Last Name/Surname

·        Married Names

·        Spellings & Info is Different Spellings and also known as.

·        Age - To Age +/- more then or less then.

·        Sex M (Male) F (Female)

·        PS is their Personal Status meaning Single, Married with Q as not sure.

·        C is their color as listed in records.

·        B/P (birth place)

·        B/L (Blood Line) HB = Howard Blood Line and OB = Other Blood Line.

·        More Member Information Remarks and Other Data Found is information found for Input Year.

·        The Color Lettering Codes:

1.     Red Lettering: means information for that line was a Calculated Unproven Entrance Date (C.U.E.D.) which was calculated with and from other information found and some common sense.

2.     Blue Shaded Lettering: Males.

3.     Pink Shaded Lettering: Females.
