The Only Books Worth saving
“Man was created for the purpose of life. As a result he than decided to write what
life could be like, and then there was the element of fiction”. In the book Fahrenheit
451 written by Ray Bradbury, our world was in chaos. In the novel war had erupted,
books are forbidden, and life is now nothingness. As a result a fireman named Guy
Montag decided to take action, instead of burning books he decided to start saving
them. He then started a new world, after the war. A world of peace, a world of
prosperity, and most of all a world of books. In the following I am going to tell you about
three wonderful books that I would save, first is Christine, then A Child Called It,
finally there is Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone.

The first novel I have chosen is Christine. This novel was written by Steven King,
it is about a young man named Doug whose friend Arnie is suddenly changing. At first
the changes are just physical, except he then started acting differently, mentally. Then
Doug concludes that his friend started acting strange ever sense Arnie bought that
broken down 1956 Plymouth. He then goes to the auto body shop and discovers that
Arnie had totally restored the Plymouth in the matter of a week. Later on in the book
Doug is injured in a football accident, thus putting him in the hospital, and meanwhile
Arnie’s car is totaled by some neighborhood bullies. Therefore Arnie has to start fixing
the car up again, however it only takes a matter of days, and then the accidents start. As
earlier confirmed by Doug, Arnie is indeed changing because of the car, Doug soon finds
out the car is then alive, and he has to stop it before Arnie, and the car kill again. I find
this book important because of the fact that it expresses the man verse machine nature.
The fact that this book is about how a manmade creation turns on the creator and that is
important so future man will know not to trust any machine, or let the machines take
over.

The second Novel I have chosen to save is called A Child Called It. This novel is
written by David Peltzer, and the book is about when he was a child, and how in his
childhood his mother had abused him. As the novel progresses the outlook of poor
David is devastating, his mother had started treating him like he was vermin. She would
make David wash the bathroom floor with Clorox and ammonia, which together can kill
a person. She would not let him eat and when his mother would it was scrapes not even
the dogs would eat. She would also abuse him, one time she even stabbed him in the
stomach with a knife, and then did not even take him to the hospital. Then one day
David was almost rescued from his mother, this happened when a strange woman came    to the house one day and as it turns out she was from social services and she was seeing
if David was being abused. However earlier that day David’s mother had given him real
clothes, allowed him to take a shower, and even let him play with his brothers so the
woman would think that David was not being abused. Long after this past experience
David went to school after being physically and mentally abused by his mother that
morning, and the nurse examined his cuts and bruises and then concluded that David
was in fact being abused so he was then rescued. The reason I would save this novel is
because it shows the man verse man nature and the book is a story that tells us to try
and help people, even if it seems they do not need the help.

The last book I would save is Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone and this
novel is written by Joe Rowling. Harry Potter is a wonderful novel about an eleven year
old boy who discovers that he is a wizard. This all happens when mysterious owls with
letters start arriving at Harry’s doorstop. Then Harry’s uncle packs everyone up and they
are off to a secluded cabin on small island. There is where a strange oversized man
confronts Harry and he finds out that his uncle has been trying to keep the fact that he
is a wizard from him. Then it is off to a wizards school called Hogwarts for Harry, and
there he meets new friends, enemies, and weird teachers. Finally as the school year
lingers on a strange force is burning Harry’s scar he received from the most evil wizard
of all time. And a strange dog is guarding something, which Harry has to later save from
the wizard that gave him the scar that marks him as the wizard who killed you know
who. The reason I think this is a good book is because the novel is exciting, and brilliant, and most of all it is fiction and everyone in the world should have imagination, no matter what age!

“Man was created for the purpose of life. As a result he than decided to write what life
could be like, and then there was the element of fiction”. The three novels I would save
would be Christine, A Child Called It, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. All of
these books a wonderful in different ways, some for entertainment, some for education and morals, and some for no reason. So in Conclusion man is a particular species and they will always write wonderful literature.
