Personal Resposibilities in World Affairs
Is it America’s responsibility to help other countries solve their problems? Are we, as a nation, allowed to step in and tell other people what to do and what not to do? These answers can be easily answered by a five year old. There is a limit to what we could and should do and if there is no limit there should be. It is right to step in and try to stop terrorism and countries going head to head in combat, but it’s just wrong to try to dictate another country and tell them to listen to us because we want them to. We should just let them do what they got to do and when the situation starts getting out of control we should step in and give advice on how thing are solved and never, never take sides on anything. It is wrong for any one country to tell another country, "You should do this, and this, and if you do not we will do this and this!" It is good that America is trying to stop war in the Middle East, but it’s probably our fault war still going on today. If the countries in the Middle East had settled their disputes before started fighting and even if maybe they had gone to war and one country won over the other, maybe today there would be peace. Except America is over in the Middle East trying in to solve what America never should have butted in on. When something happens like 9/11 other countries help out to try to stop these people, but do they do what we do? Do they go around telling us set up camp here and here, do this, attack here? No they do not, but we do. There should be a limit on how much influence we should have on other countries. We should only be able to talk to both sides and not do anything but tell them what each is thinking and try not to let them destroy innocent lives. That’s my opinion; we should not have the responsibility of having other countries on our shoulders.
