Tuesdays with Morrie

“Before you live, you have to learn how die.” This is what Morrie told Mitch in one of their meetings. When I think about what Morrie told Mitch, I totally agree with what Morrie said. In this book Morrie Swartz is dying of ALS, which is also known as Lou Gerig’s disease.

I wonder how you learn how to die. Think about it for a second. If learned how to die, would I want to live. I would not want to live if I learned how to die because if I knew how to die I would not want to see myself in pain and die. In my life I want to live with no fear of dying. I want to live like a champion.

This book taught me a lot about my life. Morrie and his aphorisms touched me. Morrie reminds me a lot of Coach Doba. He and Coach Doba teach you all the valuables lessons you need to learn to succeed in your life. Coach Doba is my idol because he does so much for the students and for the kids of this high school. Morrie is also my idol because he taught me a lot
about my life and what I need to do to accomplish my goals.
