THE BOOK ARMEGEDON.

How valuable are books to you?  What would you do if the books you read and love were illegal?  I recently read a book about this situation.  The book was called Fahrenheit 451.  It was written by Ray Bradbury.  It was about a man who goes against society to try to get people to read books.  After reading this book I got to thinking, what books would I bring if they were all of a sudden banned?  Well, I would bring; The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Romeo and Juliet, and a copy of the English Dictionary.

The first book I would bring is The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.  I would bring this book so I would be able to spread the best sense of humor displayed by Douglas Adams that I have ever seen.  Also, if sarcasm is as well lost with the disappearance of books, this book would definitely restore it.  The book is about a man named Arthur.  He ends up in space and having to learn the ways of the galaxy hitchhiker.  There are so many sub plots and ride offs from the actual plot. That is all I can actually tell you.  I am not an avid reader, but I actually enjoyed reading this book. That is why I would bring this with me.

The second book I would bring with me after the book “Armageddon” would have to be Romeo and Juliet.  This book was written by William Shakespeare.  I would keep this book because it is great writing and a classic plot that is still used to this day.

The last book that I would bring would be the English dictionary.  I would bring this because everyone needs a language of some sort, and over the years of not using most words their meaning could be lost forever. In addition to helping us remember the language we could also teach the language to future generations.

In conclusion I would bring The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy for its humor and wit, Romeo and Juliet for its great writing and great plot, and the English dictionary for the sake of communication.  We all have different opinions on what books we would bring theses are mine.
