To say that I give you the gift of love,
Is not enough. There is more to explain.
With our feet on the earth, and heaven above,
Let me tell you what you shall gain.

May your eyes see all of the beauty
No matter how tiny it sparkles in mud.
For this my dear, is your duty
The smallest bubble that hides in the flood.

May your ears hear even the softest of notes.
Fairies whispering in the drops of dew.
Butterflies giggling at all the dust motes.
And it can only be heard by you.

May you hold the tickle of a pink rose
And Lilacs and just blooming wild flowers
The scent of your first love in your nose.
The smell of the earth after spring showers.

May your lips sing and taste honey gold,
As you give all your words a sweet glaze.
Love stories from your mouth will be told
And we listen, to the end of our days.

The magic will hold in your souls' fire
And all who see you will know
The flame of the giving that you desire,
The seeds that the four winds will sow.
