In 1961, I bought my first car.
It was an unusual little thing, but to me it was up to par.

Pea green was its color, and it had seats of plaid.
It had a city and a country horn, and did aggravate me just a tad.

You see, it was French and no dealerships were in sight.
When something went wrong, the
mechanics at the local garage tried to fix it will all their might.

They put on parts from other brands.
So the little Simca became something of a tin can.

It had a 5 speed on the column and Buick tail lights.
I bet the people who manufactured it would think it a sight.

It was about a 59, so was fairly new.
It got me to work and back, but about its foreign body, I hadn't a clue.

I kept the little "sweet pea" for about a year,
And then sold it to a person who thought it was dear.
