From December the thirty-first,
To the first of January,
Folks develop an awful thirst -
Alcoholics should be wary.

Parties, parties, everywhere,
Where all the booze is flowing free.
Many drink much more than their share,
Causing big heads and misery.

Office parties are galas where
Inhibitions are cast aside.
Slobbering drunks their secrets share,
Pairs find closets in which to hide.

And on the highway danger lurks,
From other drunks driving about.
The one way to avoid these jerks –
New Years Eve, don’t even go out.
