A Special place

	Upper lakes. There are 8 in a chain that form the Big pine creek drainage		South Palisade Glacier
	Glacier Lodge as of July 1997
	Where the old bridge crossed big pine creek before the 1972 Flood.		The old road above the bridge. Road was washed out and replaced with large boulders
	Crest of south fork trail before dropping into will lake	Our family has been going hear to camp for over 40 years. We have climbed the south fork trail to Brainard lake and the North Fork trail as far as 4th lake. My dad never made it passed 4th lake but some day I hope to. I would be interested to hear from others that have made this place there special place.

	Cabin built by actor Lon Chaney in the 1920's was saved to be used as a ranger training site.		No thanks to the Sierra club.
