All the long range forecasting tools I use are indicating that we may be in for a long, cold, and snowy winter. However, there is one small glimmer of hope for a not so bad November. Some forecasaters are saying that the month of November may see above-normal temperatures for a good portion of the month. It appears that most of the first 10 days of the month will be rather mild. There are even signs of a short-lived mild spell towards the end of the month. By month's end though, a significantly colder period will likely invade bringing winter weather in to stay.

Precipitation for the month looks to remain near to slightly above normal.
