The activities are: for usability studies, participants are asked to come to Yahoo! headquarters in Sunnyvale and participate in a usability session, which lasts from one to two hours; for field studies, they come to you place (where your computer is); telephone interviews; online focus groups; online surveys; in ongoing usage studies, participants install a small software program into their computer, which takes 5-20 minutes to do (these studies may last for some months).
