Yellowstone Vacation

August - And we're off to Yellowstone --- as usual. Each year we make the annual trek

This year we enjoyed "old" Yellowstone

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's "Heritage Days" in Yellowstone. The old Yellowstone touring cars were brought back for all to ride and enjoy. Meeting the people who restored these vehicles was a real treat. Their time and dedication to salvaging a bit of history is pure "gold."
~~~~~~~~~~

Now how about touring Yellowstone in THIS one?

~~~~~~~~~~
The old yellow touring cars are on display! Open tops allowed visitors to poke their heads up and view the geysers.
~~~~~~~~~~

Authentic costumes for this event!

~~~~~~~~~~
Things were simple back then. Nothing fancy, but those dials all worked!
~~~~~~~~~~

No need to look down the road. No one traveled that fast. Sanity prevailed in those old days..

~~~~~~~~~~
Respecting the past gives one insight into all the work that went into making this the park it is. Be very thankful for the insight of those who preserved this area. I personally visited Beowowe, Nevada. It was once said to be the 9th largest geyser field in the world. Today? Not a single geyser is left. Geothermal development has completely destroyed the area.
