Yellowstone Vacation

Trecking during a wonderful August week near Old Faithful

James and family join us later

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our ventures carry us off the main trails but still include all of the best sights
~~~~~~~~~~

This may be the last year for the Hamilton Stores. No longer will Hamilton remain the company that operates these stores. This ornate log work, hopefully, will be immortalized through time, even though the name, "Hamilton" will change.

~~~~~~~~~~
We capture a rainbow during Castle's eruption. It made the day for us and others. Note what a beautiful cloud day today!
~~~~~~~~~~

Not too far from the Old Faithful Lodge cabin area, in the Pipeline Meadows area, lie some mud pots. It's off the beaten trail and hard to find. (But if you have your GPS ready it's located at 44 27.53 North, 110 49.03 West -- on the trail to Mallard Lake)

~~~~~~~~~~
This old carriage was found in the Old Faithful Lodge. Aren't we glad we didn't have to come by horse drawn coaches.
~~~~~~~~~~

James Simister serves the most delicious sausage, eggs, and pancakes early in the morning at a favorite area -- the Spring Creek picnic ground. The quiet and solitude connect one directly to nature.

~~~~~~~~~~
Joshua, Amber, and Kayla (Simister) enjoy watching the squirrels, and camp robber birds. All enjoy the refreshing change from this escape from city life and the everyday home routine.
~~~~~~~~~~

This is the end of the season, fall, -- the last days of warm temperatures. So, we await the return of spring and yet another visit to beautiful Yellowstone.

FREE download ---- Wayne's music composition, "Deep Woods" (1.7MB - 3:36) --- a composition inspired by the solitude and quiet, deep inside the Yellowstone forest. Note: This is the new MP3-Pro format which will play on any mp3 player, but if played on the MP3-Pro player, will sound "as good as or better than" regular MP3. MP3-Pro files also take half the space of a standard MP3 file.
