Born Gore, New Zealand in 1957. Attended the Otago Polytechnic School of Fine & Applied Art from 1975 1977, then began a career in teaching.
Has illustrated four books and has works in private collections in the USA and New Zealand.
Held his first solo exhibition at "Artworks Gallery", Wanaka, in 1999 and is preparing for his second in the WSA Gallery, Hamilton, in July 2002.
His main inspiration is the New Zealand landscape, particularly that of the South Island, incorporating influences from the work of Colin McCahon, Graham Sydney, Christianity and Maori culture.
