| Element Skateboards presents The Elemental Awareness Skateboard Contest Element Skateboards and the City of Santa Ana are proud to announce the first ever "get sponsored" contest. On Friday, July 4th, un-sponsored skaters will be competing for a shot to be flowed by Element Skateboards. Skaters will face the judges of the Element team, team manager, and other guest judges. Over a hundred skaters are expected to enter from all over Southern California for the opportunity to get monthly boxes from Element for one year. All proceeds from the event to be donated to Elemental Awareness, a non-profit foundation reaching out to youth through the avenues of skateboarding and nature skills in order to develop self-esteem, awareness, and the tools to lead successful lives. The mission of the Elemental Awareness is to reach out to underprivileged youth through the avenues of skateboarding and nature skills, in order to develop self esteem, awareness, and the tools to lead successful lives... | "Why do the Police have a problem with us?" Everytime we go to the CarPark to Skate, there is allways a policeman there who wants to kick us off for no reason. Why because they have nothing better to do than to bother people who aren't doing any harm. |

| No City Skatepark for Notts skaters Nottingham was due to have an indoor skatepark built in one of the old tram stations on Huntingdon street. They had a session where they opened the station up and put in two funboxes and they had music and a sad little T-shirt making bit. Me and Rob went to this open day and it was pretty good we couldnt wait for the whole skatepark to be built, Until we heard the news that the guy in charge of making the skatepark went and got himself fired so Notts' city skaters have no skatepark and the guy in charge has no job. (DAMN!!!) |
