Highway
Egypt has a great Infrastructure , containing railways, highways, pipelines, harbors and more. In total the railways are 4,955 km long. 42 km of this is electrified, and 1,560 km is double track.

In total the highways are 64000 km paved, also there's 49,984 km unpaved.

The waterways are 3500 km long, including the Nile, Lake Nasser, Alexandria-Cairo Waterway, and numerous smaller canals in the delta. The average load water-line is 16,1 m.


There are a few Egyptian harbors; Alexandria, Al Ghardaqah, Aswan, Asyut, Bur Safajah, Damietta, Marsa Matruh, Port Said and Suez.

Railway
The Merchant marine counts 180 ships, 25 bulk ships, 63 cargo ships, 1 container ship, 1 liquified gas ship, 57 passenger ships, 14 petroleum tankers, 16 roll on and roll off ships, and 3 short see passengers.

There are 90 airports in Egypt. Only 71 are caved. There are also 2 heliports.
