Welcome to The Pagan Community of Watertown, New York!
First, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kelly, and I am an eclectic pagan. I live right here in Watertown, and if you are anything like me, you've probably had a hard time meeting other like-minded people here in our quiet little city. After many wasted hours spent searching the web for any information on our local pagan community, (and always coming up empty-handed), I decided enough was enough, and set out to create a site myself.
This site is for any and all branches of the pagan path. Wiccans, Druids, Shamans, Asatruars, Eclectic Pagans, ect.. are all warmly encouraged to participate. Perhaps you are not a pagan at all, but are simply curious or searching. Here you can speak with people of various paths who can answer your questions. All are welcome, but we do ask that you are respectful of others beliefs...in other words no bashing. That goes for pagans and non-pagans alike. To be pagan is to understand that there are many paths to the Divine. All are worthy of respect.
Watertown being somewhat sheltered from the rest of the world, doesn't exactly encourage "diversity', hence we have many solitary practioners, herbal healers, and so on who have gone it alone, not knowing how to meet other pagans. It is my heartfelt hope that this site will offer the opportunity for us to meet, make new friends, share information and ideas, and perhaps plan events in our community. Your input is most welcome. This is, after all, YOUR community.
You will find a forum here for your ideas and questions, or you can join the actual group for Northern NY Pagans (a different type of forum), a chat room to meet and talk with other pagans, and more. Feel free to e-mail me with comments and suggestions. Above all, if you have other pagan friends here in the community as I do, share this site with them! There are many more of us than you'd ever imagine...
