The Waterloo WildCats are team in the Cyber Hockey League run by Jim MacArthur. The Cyber Hockey League is a fantasy hockey league that simulates the real world of hockey. Players create franchises just as one would in the NHL. They are responsible for running the franchise and strive each season to win the ultimate prize, the CHL Cup. Players, otherwise known as General Mangers (GMs) are responsible for all aspects of their franchise, from its finances to its player administration. Budgeting the franchise is just as important as trading for the right players.

In the 2001-2002 season, the WildCats dropped to fifth in the conference and were eliminated in the first round after a hard fought series with the Montreal Titans.

The management of the WildCats made some big moves in the off-season as they look to build a team that can capture the CHL Cup, led by their star goaltender Jose Theodore.
