Wireless data transfer has come a long way since the inception of Marconi and the first radio. Today, wireless data transmission affects almost every part of our lives in some way or another; particularly within the last ten years with the advent of cellular telephones. With two way satellite internet connection for the home on the horizon, and the ever decreasing price of cellular technology, wireless is poised to overtake wired data transmission as the preferred method for both home and office. In the near future, I believe that a majority of data transmission, from broadband internet to all of our telecommunication needs, will be met with wireless data transfer.
