Spring is here, and a new gallery is in full bloom.

These ties were purchased during a recent shopping spree at the P.S. 321 Flea Market in Brooklyn, NY.  Giddy from the fine weather and a bracing stroll in Prospect Park, I snagged some rotten rags to show you here.

I really did have a nice time shopping, and I want to recommend this Flea Market to you.   I've shopped there off and on, but while I lived in Park Slope, it was my Sunday custom to go and browse.  The folks there are really pleasant, and no one remarked on my taste in clothes while I made this purchase.  (I did explain afterwards, lest they harbor suspicions.)  I've never noticed any ugly ties at the flea market before,  but this visit I found enough to present.

A Note from one of the vendors who helped me with my ties.

Hi Warren,

You bought some ties from me this weekend at the P.S. 321 flea market in Park Slope, Brooklyn. The antique flea market is a P.T.A. sponsored fund raising event for the school. Most of the rental fees for the booths go to the PTA to benefit school programs. We have a wide variety of vendors, sellingfurniture, antiques, collectibles, vintage clothing and accessories, crafts and artifacts from different cultures.  We have  numerous vendors selling vintage ties and on a good weather day in the spring or fall , one could find a wide variety of ugly ties.  The flea market has been in existence for more than 25 years and is open all year round, weather permitting, on Saturdays and Sundays, 9 to 6 each day. The flea market is at 180 Seventh Avenue (between 1st and 2nd Streets).

I look forward to seeing you at the flea market again soon, and I will be looking for your show at the museum.
