I started woodturning a couple of weeks ago, so the pieces here were mainly for practice. I realize I need a bigger lathe, better chisels, more acessories, and a better wood selection. Also one of the main reasons I am putting up these pictures is for my own record. These were all turned in the end of Nov. and the first week of Dec. 2003. So here are my supply of Christmas gifts.
This is the first bowl I did but I put it back on the lathe after I made several others and reshaped it. I put a green water base paint on it then it will get 5 or 6 coats of tung oil
Second reshaped bowl.
Third bowl I turned.
A nice shape.
This one I did in two pieces for I do not have a bowl tool rest to hollow insides.
