NEW TO TOWN?

PLEASE, NEVER HESITATE TO ASK ONE OF OUR (RTS) RECYCLING AND TRANSFER STATION'S EMPLOYEES TO GUIDE YOU ON A TOUR OF THE FACILITY AND EXPLAIN WHERE ITEMS SHOULD BE PLACED.

RECYCLING HELPS ALL RESIDENTS WITH THE SAVINGS CREATED FROM THE REVENUE PRODUCED BY SELLING THOSE RECYCLABLES THAT WE ALL SHOULD BE SEPARATING.  IT IS A WIN-WIN PROCESS!

RECYCLING IS MANDATORY IN THE

TOWN OF WARNER, N.H.

THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL TOWN SITE

Our RTS offers an area to deposit items that are still in good, usable condition.  This area is for Warner  residents to browse through to see if there are any items that they can be re-used.  This practice keeps items out of the waste stream and reduces the tipping fee for the our household waste that is taken to the incinerator in Penacook to produce electricity.

SWAP SHOP AREA--WHILE IT IS STILL OPEN

WHY WARNER RECYCLES.

The obvious reason is recycling is mandatory in Warner.  However, recycling keeps waste out of landfills, which helps the environment, incurs cost avoidance and produces revenue.  Every item that is recycled in Warner has an area especially set aside for storing that item until sold.  Please help the attendants by placing each item in the proper areas.  This will save our RTS employees labor and time.  If unsure where something goes, do not hesitate to ask.  You might be helpful one day when you run across a fellow resident that has that "where does this go" look.  The recyclables that are sold by our RTS manager brings revenue to our town.  This revenue offsets the bottom line of our town's budget.  The more we recycle, the more revenue is produced and the more we save in our taxes.  Vote against single stream recycling, if we get the chance!

The picture to the left is from the 2005 "Lunch at the Dump" event.  The employees of the RTS put on this annual event to celebrate their appreciation of the residents who use the Warner RTS.  Food and drink are donated by local area businesses and residents, and volunteers do the cooking with the help of a Warner RTS employee.  Live bands have entertained the crowds, as well as young, solo fiddle playing resident, Mr. Tristan Buckley.
